JAC against killing of Aiyo suspends stir

Imphal, December 15 2012:
Following an agreement reached between the Government and representatives of JAC against the killing of Aiyo today, the JAC has called off its proposed agitation.
The JAC and family members have also claimed the body after conducting post mortem examination at JNIMS today following the agreement.
Thongam Romeo alias Aiyo (25) of Thoubal Athokpam Awang Leikai was found hung to death yesterday morning which sparked off a wild cat stir at Thoubal.
Demanding action against the culprit(s), the JAC formed against the killing of Romeo had warned of launching a stir if the authority fails to bring justice by Dec 16 .
