Women Action for Development (WAD) has expressed sincere gratitude to Chief Minister O Ibobi, Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, Social Welfare minister AK Mirabai and G Seityabati Devi, Director, Social Welfare Department, Government of Manipur for participating at the opening day of the International Fortnight Observation Protesting Violence against Women.
WAD said in a statement on Saturday that it also appreciates the state Tourism Department for extending valuable support, guidance and cooperation during the observation.
It also expressed sincere thanks to Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West and Singjamei Police Station for giving the permission in organizing a mass rally cum pubic meeting and also, thanks to all the participants.
WAD also thanked to all the allied NGOs, CBOs and POs from the nine districts of Manipur which actively took part during the 18-day long observation by making every arrangements including various campaigns as part of the observation.
Sincere thanks also to all the victims and survivors of conflict situation for their participation and cooperation and also to all the distinguished judges and juries, and the media persons, who covered, exposed, reported and highlighted every events of the Fortnight Observation, it added.
