Imphal, March 03 2014 :
Saying that it was a communally charged statement, MPP has strongly condemned the UNC's assertion "Meiteis and Nagas cannot live together" .
Speaking to media persons at their office today, MPP president N Sovakiran asserted that the communally charged statement was evinced by the tripartite talks held between UNC and Congress Governments of the Centre and State at New Delhi and Senapati.
The statement which manifested the agenda of Naga unification and Government of India's assurance to form a high level committee are targeted at disintegrating Manipur.
MPP would launch a series of agitation against the Congress Government's policy, Sovakiran said.
All parties should avoid making statements which may ignite communal conflict and the Government should not commit the blunder of pitching one community against another, he cautioned.
