Refuting the claim made by the UNLF and published in this paper on the November 1 issue under the caption, "Jawan killed," the Army authorities have today stated that no personnel of 13 JAK Rifles was killed as reported.
On the other hand one UNLF cadre was injured in the operation, said PIB Defence Wing, quoting Army authorities.
Meanwhile reacting to the earlier claims made by the UNLF, Army authorities today said that since the induction of the army troops in Bishnupur, Churachandpur and Chandel districts a total of 13 militants have been killed while seven have been injured.
Thirty four militants have also been arrested while 20 weapons have been seized, claimed the Army authorities adding that six UNLF cadres were also killed in the operations launched at Khongtal, Sehlon area.
