AR saves snake bite victim

Imphal, May 23 2012:
Troops of 42 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) saved the life of a civilian, RT Khinahring (19), a resident of Lamphoupasna village in Chandel District, who was bitten by a venomous snake on May 22 .
As soon as the victim was rushed in the Unit Hospital of 42 AR, she was administered first aid.
The girl is in stable condition now and is being kept under observation.
The speedy action of medication and resuscitation played a major role in saving a life of the victim, according to a press release of PRO IGAR (S) .
