Nemcha chants 'Love-mantra' for peace, development

If at all we need to bring about peace and development in the state, love should be the mantra, observed Nemcha Kipgen, MLA of Kangpokpi A/C.In an exclusive interview with Hueiyen Lanpao, Nemcha Kipgen stated that she has been elected by the people in order to bring about a change in the society.
So, she will work with sheer sacrifice and dedication in order to achieve the change needed.
Assuring that no misuse of funds will be tolerated in her constituency, Nemcha asserted that so far people of her constituency have not been provided with the desired benefits even though a huge amount of fund had been sanctioned entirely for the constituency.
She further informed that merely speaking in public platforms without actually executing the work will never bring about the desired change in the society.
As such a committee has been formed in her constituency to take up all developmental works and bring the much needed change.
Replying to a query, the woman MLA categorically stated, "Only a woman knows what development actually means.
Women always are associated with love and affection and at the same time they have the power to reason" .
Since she has been elected by the people with high expectations in their mind, she will see to it that all their hopes and desires are fulfilled to the maximum, Nemcha assured.
She further pointed out that, no matter how important a role women play in our society, they are seldom recognized, unlike in European countries, where women have a say in all the policies and programmes of the state.
It is very fortunate that the women here in Manipur have not been consulted in any major policy concerning the state as well as at the time of chalking out programmes and policies for bringing about peace in the state.
Expressing concern over the problem of electricity faced by the people of Kangpokpi, Nemcha pointed out that absence of proper electricity has led to the failure in all machinery and technological works carried out in the area, thus creating lot of inconveniences to the people.
She also mentioned about the poor health care facilities provided to the people of Kangpokpi, and noted that the only hospital in Kangpokpi needs to be upgraded to 50 bedded one at par with a district hospital.
Nemcha said that she is even willing to provide land for constructing a district hospital in the area.
This will solve the problems faced by the people in going for treatment even for minor ailment to Imphal, she added.
