Training prog on fake currency notes held

Imphal, July 15 2013:
Manipur Police with faculty support of Reserve Bank of India, Guwahati organised a day-long training programme on Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICM) for police officers from the rank of ASI to Deputy SP at the Banquet Hall of 1st Battalion Manipur Rifles, here today.
According to a statement issued by SP of CID (CB) in this regard, all the senior officers of Manipur Police, District Superintendents of Police, COs of MR and IRB battalions and 102 police officers nominated from all districts and other units participated in the training which was inaugurated by Y Joykumar Singh, Director General of Police, Manipur.
As a resource person N Nagaraj, Assistant General Manager of BRI, Guwahati spoke on FICN and demonstrated its features and method of detection.
