Imphal, November 12 2014:
Taking serious note of the way Seijang village is treating its neighboring Naga village, the Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong said that the ancestral land of the Nagas cannot be infringed upon anywhere.
In a statement the TKS warned that any infringement of tribal land by anyone else besides the rightful indigenous inhabitants shall be severely dealt with.
Concerned over the manner Seijang has called an indefinite bandh on the Ukhrul-Imphal highway, the student body condemned such acts which are highly communal and is sending a stern warning to Seijang that such acts shall not be condoned in any manner at any point of time.
The Saklong desires that the conflict/misunderstanding by Seijang against Silent village be resolved at the earliest, but resorting to communal acts to resolve it would lead to reprisal from the Nagas.
