Blast rocks Holenphai, none injured

Imphal, November 12 2014:
Unidentified persons exploded a powerful bomb at Holenphai village bordering Myanmar under Moreh Police Station, Chandel district today around 11.30 am.
However, there is no news of any casualty in the blast.
Shortly after the explosion, a team of Moreh police led by its OC Dilip rushed to the blast site to inspect it.
The bomb was planted along a narrow road measuring 3 feet in diameter.
Police recovered splinters of the bomb from the area.
It is said that security forces used to patrol along the narrow road stretch where unidentified persons planted the bomb.
No organization has claimed responsibility for the blast till the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, troops of 30 Assam Rifles conducted search operation at Chingnungkhok Mayai Leikai under Lamlai Police Station in Imphal East on November 12 around 9 am and apprehended a cadre of KCP (MC) .
The arrested cadre has been identified as Okram Nanao (30) s/o (L) O Mukta of Chingnungkhok Mayai Leikai.
One 9 mm pistol, three live rounds and a magazine were recovered from his possession.
Later, he was handed over to Lamlai Police Station.
