MPP team inspects border fencing

Imphal, August 01 2013:
A team of Manipur People's Party comprising 12 members has made an inspection of the border areas along Indo-Myanmar boundary to look into the actual situation of border fencing work yesterday.
During the inspection, the team discovered that half of Govajang village and whole Morphai village have fallen under Myanmar territory.
The team also visited other border area villages like Moljol, Laiching, Bongyang and Nongtam and interacted with the villagers and chiefs.
Meanwhile, Janata Dal (United) Youth Front, Manipur State Unit has demanded the state government to put a halt on the ongoing border fencing work at once so as to protect the territorial integrity of Manipur.
