Senapati, August 01 2013:
Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Association of Senapati District, Manipur strongly supported the 'No pay- no work' silent protest rally being observed by various Anganwadi workers and helpers centers in Manipur against non-payment of 14 months honorarium by the state government although there was an assurance from AK.
Mirabai, social welfare minister to clear the honorarium for 5 months only is an act of displaying total disregard to the hardships faced by the workers and helpers and it is a non acceptable arrangement.
"We the Anganwadi workers and helpers Association, Senapati District joins other centers in demanding an absolute clearance of 14 months' honorarium dues at the earliest.
The Anganwadi workers and helpers Association Senapati District will also organize a silent sit- in protest rally if the state government continues to ignore our demand for payment of 14 months honorarium against the services already provided by the members of our Association," the association warned today.
