Life Watch will be dealing with human right issues and will extend cooperation to victims of human right violation, said Chief Administrator, Life Watch Advocate Angomcha Araba in a press meet held today at its newly opened office at Uripok.
Araba said that Life Watch is a non governmental body which deals with human right issues.
There are many advocates and learned persons in the field of human right.
It will enquire about any human right violation issue directly.
It will also organise legal awareness programme.
General Secretary, Life Watch Kh Kanta said that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which has 30 articles was declared on December 10, 1948 with an aim to stop human right violation.
To commemorate the declaration, UN is observing December 10 as World Human Rights Day in every year.
Even after the declaration, there are many incidents of human right violation in all over the world.
In Manipur also there are numerous cases of human right violation.
Life Watch was established with an aim to create awareness of the UN declaration among the public, he said.
