CM presents strong case to Reddy

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy who arrived here this afternoon held a meeting with legislators of the coalition Government including Chief Minister N Biren at the Chief Minister's Secretariat.
Chief Minister N Biren and the ruling front MLAs made it clear to Kishan Reddy that the final pact with the NSCN (IM) should not contain anything that is inimical to the interests of Manipur.
The Union MoS for Home is also scheduled to attend the all political party meeting to be held at the CM's Secretariat tomorrow.
G Kishan Reddy also held a meeting with leaders of civil society organisations.
Sources said that G Kishan Reddy and BJP legislators might have discussed the Naga accord which is likely to be signed by the end of the current month, the State's law and order situation and Central sponsored schemes.
The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs will review the State's law and order situation together with Chief Minister N Biren and top officials of security agencies at 4 pm tomorrow.
Soon after his arrival, G Kishan Reddy called on Governor Dr Najma Heptulla at the Raj Bhavan at 4.30 pm.
From the Raj Bhavan, he went to the Canchipur office of BJP Manipur Pradesh where he interacted with party leaders and workers.
Earlier on his arrival at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, media persons asked a number of questions to G Kishan Reddy on different issues plaguing the State.
However, he maintained that his visit is a routine trip and refused to make any comment.
Nonetheless, he said that he would give his comments tomorrow after meeting leaders of BJP Manipur Pradesh.
Saying that he is visiting Manipur for the first time, Kishan Reddy conveyed that he would try to make an assessment of the situation prevailing in Manipur.
