According to family members, Minashwori died due to alleged laxity on the part of attending doctor senior gynaecologist and the nursing staff.
Aggrieved and infuriated by the sudden, unexpected death, family members and relatives of the woman vandalized the hospital's administrative block, OPD and operation theatre.
Even though police intervened and tried to pacify the mob, the uproar severely disturbed normal daily activities of the hospital.
Late Minashwori was admitted in Shija Hospital on October 17 and she was taken inside labour room at around 10.30 pm yesterday,.
As her health grew critical, the attending nurses were appealed repeatedly to call doctors but they paid no heed, said Minashwori's mother-in-law S Bino.
After performing Cesarian Section, it was said that Minashwori delivered a male baby at around 1.30 am today.
But the baby was never brought out and it was told that the mother's condition was still critical.
Just 30 minutes later, it was said that the mother had died.
Minashwori consulted the doctor when she was pregnant with her first baby and she consulted the same gynaecologist for the second baby too.
Since she the initial days she started consulting the doctor, Minashwori was told that the second baby could be delivered through normal procedure (without performing CS) .
The doctor said that as per the medical reports it looked like Minashwori could deliver the baby without resorting to CS.
She went for CS only after she complained about breathing difficulties.
Shija Hospital Superintendent Dr Y Jugindro said that expecting mothers may experience pulmonary embolism during delivery even if they are quite healthy.
This is a big and mysterious challenge to the medical science across the world.
