JAC bandh hits normal life

Kangpokpi, October 19 2015:
The bandh called by Joint Action Committee (JAC) against the killing of Khupneilal Neihsiel and Robert Hesei Kipgen over the Government's failure to table the magisterial probe report hit normal life in the hill districts of Manipur.
However, there was no report of any untoward incident during the first day of 48-hr total bandh along the Trans Asian Highway No.1 in Sadar Hills.
Interstate and State passengers bus services were hit hard as there were no vehicular movements along the highways.
All business establishments and Government offices remained closed.
Though, educational institutions were exempted from the purview of the bandh, classes could not be held as there were no transport facilities for these students.
Meanwhile, Thadou Youth Association, GHQ has extended support to the bandh, which began Sunday midnight.
