Tuensang/Noklak, February 15 2018:
Nagaland Chief Minister and NPF Chief Ministerial candidate, TR Zeliang on Thursday asserted and termed that the Naga People's Front (NPF) being 'the oldest and longest surviving regional Party in North-East India that has guided the Naga people' since its inception in 1963 would form the next Government by March 13' .
Addressing the 'Kick-off Campaign' of NPF Tuensang Division at Tuensang Town, the Chief Minister recalls that various events since the Party's inception, especially the Assembly Elections of 1998 where the NPF Party had heeded to the voice of the Naga people and abstained from participating had stated that 'the NPF Party had led the Nagas in the past, it is leading the Nagas today and it will continue to lead the Nagas in the future' .
Dubbing the NDPP Party as one similar to an 'un-recognized Village' with a 'global symbol' and a 'nationalist name,' the Chief Ministerial candidate of the NPF Party said that the newly floated NDPP Party was least bothered about Nagaland and the Nagas in general.
Expressing his doubt on the 20:40 seat arrangement between the BJP and NDPP, Zeliang said that seat arrangement in Nagaland was 'impractical' .
Also addressing the Party's kick-off Campaign in the newly created District of Noklak, Zeliang cited the various developmental activities, particularly road connectivity, taking place in the new District.
'Unlike other political parties, we are highlighting what is taking place and not what will take place,' he told the gathering there.
Stating that trouble-makers in the NPF Party had formed NDPP, Zeliang expressed his hope that the NPF Party without them would now restore and strengthen the image of the State and the Naga people as the proud son and daughters of the Naga soil with renewed determination.
Calling upon the citizens of the State to extend their precious mandate to the NPF Party, Zeliang assured that a popular Government led by the NPF Party would be formed as desired by majority of the Nagas.
