4th MCA Elite Tournament 2018 CYCLONE beat SCCC by 91 runs

Imphal, February 15 2018: CYCLONE, Thangmeiband today prevailed over Sangai Champions Cricket Club (SCCC), Singjamei to secure a huge 91 run victory in a Group A league match of the ongoing 4th MCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament 2018 organised under the aegis of Manipur Cricket Associa-tion at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangsangbam in ODI format (40 overs) .

CYCLONE made SCCC rue their decision to field first as Narsingh Yadav and Akshay Kumar made a total of more than 100 runs and took the target over 200 in the first inning.

Narsingh Yadav made an impressive start smashing 65 runs of 66 balls while Akshay Kumar contributed 34 runs of 32 balls.

Homendro of CYCLONE also contributed 24 runs in this inning before he went out in the 19th delivery.

Prime Amarnath and L Bikash then hit 23 runs and 22 runs repectively to help the Thangmeiband side set the target of 242 for the loss of 8 wickets in 40 overs.

Nanao and Wasim Akram of SCCC claimed 3 wickets each in this inning while W Kishan and Yash Bhojane claimed one each.

Yash of SCCC took off the second inning with a similar start but the following batsmen fell prey to W Kishan of CYCLONE who dismissed 5 wickets alone.

Yash made an outstanding 64 runs off 79 balls (not out) in the chase which slumped to a paltry 151 runs for 10 in 36.2 overs.

Denin who made 18 runs of 13 balls was the second highest scorer while Sandeep made 10 runs in 22 balls.

L Bikash and William of the Thangmeiband side also picked 2 wickets each in this inning while Suraj claimed one.

L Kishan was named man of the match for picking up 5 wickets.

TRAU, Kwakeithel will take on PTRC, Patsoi in a Group B league match.
