Kakching, May 04 2021:
Expressing concern on the recent transfer order of some IAS and MCS officers issued by Deputy Secretary of the State on April 30 Senior Citizens Forum Kakching appealed to all the concerned to revoke the transfer of Deputy Commissioner of Kakching, Kengoo Zuringla.
In a press release, the forum stated that the transfer of DC of Kakching district is not called for as she joined as the DC only on October, 2020 .
The forum further stated that the frequent transfers of Deputy Commissioner of the district which was formed only few years ago poses hindrance to the developmental activities of the district.
Amid the hardships faced by the Government in allocating funds and other grants to all the 7 districts and the ongoing global crisis due to COVID-19 pandemic, Kakching district is still in a bad shape due to lack of manpower and proper insfrastructure needed in a district.
And most of the departments of Kakching are still attached to Thoubal district which disrupts the proper functioning of the district.
Accordingly the locals of the district, CSOs and the district administration have been working hand in hand to solve any outcomings.
Due to the recent surge of Covid positive cases and the crucial situation of the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic in the district, the officers of the district administration have been working relentlessly to curb the further spread of the pandemic.
At such a crucial juncture, the transfer of the DC is really unfortunate therefore the Senior Citizens Forum appealed to all the authorities concerned to revoke the transfer order in the interest of the public of Kakching.
