Additional restrictions imposed in Greater Imphal areas
Movement of vehicles banned even between 6 am and 10 am

Imphal, May 04 2021:
In view of the rapidly increasing number of Covid infections, the State Government has imposed 'additional restrictions' in Greater Imphal area.
The additional restrictions in respect of shops and movement of people and vehicles will be effective in areas under the IMC and greater Imphal, said an order of the Government today.
The restrictions are as follows;
Only one out of three shops/vendors of the total (permitted categories as per earlier order dated April 29) in one location shall be allowed to open on rotational basis.
If the shops or vendors are located in congested rows, then only alternate rows shall be allowed to open.
Queue system should be adopted by all shops and vendors.
Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police will prepare the roster of shops/vendors.
Any market/shop/vendor not complying with social distancing and causing crowding may be promptly closed by the DC/SP.

There shall be complete ban on movement of all vehicles (even during 6 am to 10 am), except goods vehicles, oxygen supply related vehicles, LPG and oil tankers and vehicles of other essential services like power supply, water supply, waste/garbage clearance, public distribution system, medical.
Covid services and vehicles of personnel of Departments/organisations are permitted to be functional.
Local markets at Khurai Lamlong, Andro Parking, Lambulane, Kongba, Pishum Thong, Kwakeithel, Nagamapal, Singjamei bazar, Wahengbam Leikai shall remain closed.
Deputy Commissioners and district Superintendents of Police may take the help of local clubs in organising the roster and physical distancing of vendors.
Bank branches shall remain open from 10 am to 2.30 pm only for Government transactions and transactions related to COVID-19 management and Government projects/urgent matters.
Banks are to undertake only urgent/time bound transactions in their branches.
Finance Department and Treasuries shall remain functional with minimal staff to discharge urgent transactions.
Post office shall remain open from 10 am to 2.30 pm to dispose time bound work including delivery of medicines and medical equipment and shall not entertain routine business.
Imphal airport shall remain open and movement of staff and passengers will continue to be permitted.
Opening of petrol pumps and LPG outlets and movement of staff of IOCL will continue to be permitted.
All other instructions contained in the orders dated 21/04/2021 and 29/04/2021 remain unchanged.
