The Manipur Human rights Commission today asked the State police chief (DGP) to submit a report on a complaint pertaining to the disappearance of a minor girl.
The complainant Nahakpam Shyamjai Singh of Khabam Bamdiar contended that the where abouts of his 16 year old daughter - Mamita Devi - could not be known after a local girl took her for purchasing looms on September 6, 2004.The complainant had also filed a report at Nambol police station on September 12 and 14 urging the police to locate his daughter, but has till date failed to evoke any positive response.
Information on the missing girl has also been published in State dailies, added the complainant.
