Chandel meet dwells on various aspects

Various aspects of development of Chandel district were minutely deliberated at a district level consultative meeting of Government officials organised by SDO/BDO Chakpikarong at Chakpikarong headquarters today.
Chandel Deputy Commissioner Th Chittaranjan presided over the meeting attended by officials of different
Government Departments.
The officials informed the DC about the absence of office buildings, residential quarters and other problems being faced by them in the meeting.
After the meeting, the officials interacted with village chiefs and leaders of student and civil society organisations in which the officials informed them about various development projects being taken up and to be taken up in the district.
The organisations also submitted memoranda to the DC.
While the officials specially mentioned the inconvenience being faced by outstation officials with the absence of Government quarters to the DC, the people of the district also urged the DC to take up measures so that the officials attend their respective offices at least 15 days a month.
Informing the DC that Chief Minister O Ibobi had already announced in 2011 to upgrade the Primary Health Centre at Chakpikarong to the status of Community Health Centre, people of the district also said that no action has been initiated in this regard till date.
They also urged the construction of offices and quarters of SDO Chakpikarong, PWD and PHED.
People also mentioned about inadequate infrastructure of Chakpikarong High School.
In this regard, DC Chittaranjan also assured the people to do the needful at his level.
