Favouritism slur on MFS promotion

Raising questions on the integrity of Department of Administrative Reforms, Government of Manipur, aspersions have been cast over alleged favouritism in the recent promotion of twenty four (24) Grade III MSF officers to Grade II officers.
According to a highly placed source, 24 Grade III MSF Officers were promoted to Grade II officers following an order issued by Department of Administrative Reforms, Government of Manipur on December 4.Accordingly, their pay scale has been fixed at Rs 9300 - 34800 +GP (Rs 5400)+Other admissible allowances.
The promoted MFS officers are among those officers recruited in 2007 through an exam conducted by MPSC.
However, it has come to light that those candidates who were in the top 10 in said exam have been excluded from the promotion.
The source further revealed that there are also apprehensions over favouritism in providing 'outstanding'remarks in the FCR of the service records of some of the promoted MFS officers.
Among the officers who have been promoted, some of them have even FIR cases pending against them.
It may be noted here that the 24 MFS officers who have been given promotion include RK Khurkishore Singh, Vivek Singh Elangbam, Rinita Keisham, Priya Nongmaithem, Ngangbam Roman, Rojendrakumar Nongthomba, Sorokhaibam Geetmala, Kongkham Herojeet Singh, Sandhyarani Ningthoujam, Nandeibam Ranendra, Nongthongbam Sudip Singh, Ningthoujam Suranjan, Md Ziour Rahaman, Pangangambam Premjit Khuman, Salam Somerendro Singh, Konsam Bingku, M Rubina Devi, Ramnganing Zimik, GS Joyrits, Zosanglur Joute, Jamthianniang Thomte, Lohri Nenuo Joseph, Thangbialian and Haotinkhu Haokip.
