Imphal, December 05 2012:
The Manipur State Congress Party has re-affirmed its stance on the protection of the State's territorial integrity during its 15th Foundation Day celebration held today at GM Hall.
The celebration function was attended by MSCP MLA Karam Thamarjit and party president Yumnam Mani Singh as the chief guest and president respectively.
Amongst others, three MLAs of the party, well-wishers, party workers and office bearers also attended the foundation day celebration.
However, two party MLAs did not attend the function.
Significantly, the party has adopted several points for the overall welfare of the State and the party.
Protecting territorial integrity of the State; to work toward generation of employment to the unemployed youth; and to ensure return of more party MLAs in the next Assembly election are the points adopted during the foundation day celebration of the MSCP.
The party also pledged to work for facilitating healthy growth of the State's economy and remove distinction of hill and valley people.

Addressing the gatherings, MLA Thamarjit Karam said the party is not working against the interest of any individual, but it is standing against the 'corrupt system' of the land.
Asserting that the number of unemployed youths of the State crossed the 7 lakh mark due to perverted system of the land, Thamarjit said the MSCP would fight against the 'system' .
Speaking at the occasion, party spokesman Vivek Raj Wangkhem said it was very unfortunate that the State Home department failed to take action against a Minister who assaulted a Congress worker in full public view during the recently concluded Sangai Tourism Festival.
Questioning whether the Ministers were above law, Vivek Raj further raised voice strongly against Ministers behaving whatever they like.
Vivek Raj also conveyed the MSCP's solid stance for the implementation of Inner Line Permit system in the State while affirming that the party would work for its implementation.
The party spokesman also said that it is expecting the return of at least 20 members of the Assembly in the next general election.
