Following an agreement reached between the police and civil administration of Jiri, FCI and AR today, normal service has been resumed at Jiribam FCI godown from today.
An understanding was reportedly reached between the stakeholders during a meeting today which was attended by Additional DC of Jiribam, Y Iboyaima Singh; Additional SP O Menjor Singh; CO of 22 AR Col Anil Kumar and Area Manager of FCI G Kameih at the office chamber of the ADC.
Accordingly, the restriction enforced on entry of FCI staff and Home Guard personnel at Jiri Railhead was lifted.
It has also been reportedly agreed that the cease work strike of FCI staff will be suspended.
It was also agreed that ID card be produced while entering the FCI godown near Jiri Railway station.
Subsequently, work resumed at the godown and loading of items has begun from today.
Around 400 trucks have been stranded at Jiribam due to the ceasework strike imposed by the FCI staff since Dec 3.The ceasework strike was launched on the matter pertaining to reported assault of an FCI staff by AR personnel on Nov 26.Meanwhile, police said investigation on the assault case of the FCI staff is on.
