Imphal, April 21 2016:
Zaw's wolf snake has been reported from Tamenglong district.
Although it was believed that Zaw's wolf snake is found in Manipur, it was never reported earlier, according to experts.
A team led by Senior Staff Reporter of The Sangai Express Laishram Shamungou came across a Zaw's wolf snake near Bhalok, Tameng-long in March this year.
The team took photographs of the snake and the photographs were sent to experts who opined that the photographs are of Zaw's wolf snake but its presence in Manipur was never reported earlier.
