EVM, VVPAT awareness campaign continues; Cdl all set for smooth conduct of 17th LS election

Ahead of the 17th Lok Sabha election 2019, office of the District Election Officer, Kangpokpi continue its Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) training at various places in the district as part of its preparation of the election.
An Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) awareness camp was conducted at Polling Station 50/35 Tumnoupokpi (Team- B) where many voters within the Polling Station participated in the awareness camp.
Similar awareness Camp was also conducted at various other places under 46-Saikul, 50-Kangpopki and 51-Saitu Assembly Constituencies while training programme for polling personnel which was set to conduct at Multipurpose Hall, DC's Office, Kangpokpi; Room No 2, B-Block, DC's Office Complex; Security Barrack, DC's Office Complex and District Council Hall, Kangpokpi was re-scheduled and will be held from March 15 to 18.Meanwhile, the office of District Election Officer/DC Kangpokpi in partial modification of its official notice even number dated February 8, has appointed various officers for Election Expenditure Monitoring (EEM) Team in respect of the three Assembly Constituencies of Kangpokpi District comprising Assistant Expenditure Observer (AEB); Flying Squads Teams (FST); Static Surveillance Team (SST); Video Surveillance Team (VST); Video Viewing Team (VVT); Accounting Team (AT); Complaint Monitoring Control Room & Call Centre (CMCR&CC); Expenditure Monitoring Cell (EMC); Medical Team (MT) and Control Room & Media Centre (CR&MC).
KK Kanarei, Dy Manager, SBI Kangpokpi; Ginzakhup Khuptong, Manager, Allahabad bank, Kangpokpi; and Saihkholam Buhril, Asst Manager, SBI Leimakhong were appointed as Assistant Expenditure Observers (AEO) respectively for 46-Saikul, 50-Kangpokpi and 51-Saitu Assembly Constituencies.
Bishnupur: To ensure maximum participation and ethical voting in the coming Lok Sabha Election, 2019 and for the successful conduct of the election, the district administration of Bishnupur, apart from having regular meetings and ongoing trainings, has conducted a number of Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities in the form of competitions and street corner campaign.
The administration has also carried out more multi-media campaign on EVM and VVPAT by educating the staffs and visitors of the Mini-Secretariat since March 8 which was organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra and District Election Officer of the district.
The district administration also organized training on SUVIDHA for AROs and staffs today.
Training on paid news for MCMC team will be organized at Conference Hall of DC's Office tomorrow as a part of the ongoing election related trainings.
Chandel: DEO/DC Chandel, Krishna Kumar has said that Chandel district is all set to conduct the ensuing Lok Sabha Election of Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency smoothly.
Speaking to media persons, the DC conveyed that there are two Assembly Constituencies in Chandel district namely 41-Chandel and 42 Tengnoupal ACs.
Saying that altogether 92,462 voters will cast their votes in 146 Polling Stations opened for the district, he added that Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines will be utilised in all the polling stations.
Training programme for Polling Personnel and Sector Magistrate, who will be on duty, has been conducted, he said, adding that more such similar programme will be organised for smooth conduct of the election.
He also maintained that 4 Polling Stations of the district will be manned by women polling personnel.
He further said that Flying Squad Team (FST) and Static Surveillance Team (SST) will be posted at all Polling Stations of the district.
Initiatives are also taken up to repair/construct road by consulting with BRTF, NHIDCL, PWD and PMGSY among others for the convenience of the voters who have to travel to a far flung hilly areas to exercise their adult franchise, he said and stated that several volunteers will also be selected by BLO and NYK to assist disabled persons so that they could exercise their Constitutional rights.
He also maintained that the concerned officials are keeping strict vigil to check if the political parties are violating the guidelines of election model code of conduct which was enforced after the announcement of election dates.
Appealing all the eligible voters of the district to exercise their right in choosing a good leader without any fear, he informed all to use "cVGIL" or call helpline number "1950" in case any untoward incidents happened during the election or found any individual violating the code of conduct.
