The Manipur House charges Rs 200 for a week stay and Rs 115 for a month stay, Bemcha said.
The Manipur House was started to relieve the patients and families who go to Delhi for medical treatment and operations of their financial burden in finding affordable places to stay.
Renting a room in Delhi costs around Rs 9,000/Rs 10,000 .
Poor families who visit Delhi for medical treatment often find the prices of the rent unaffordable.
The Manipur House is a solution to all the agony of the patients and families, Bemcha said.
The trust had apprised the State Government for a favourable policy to help such families in distress, but so far there is no positive response from the Government, Bemcha said and added that some State Governments and authorities provide green card to such patients/families visiting Delhi for smooth stay and medical treatment.
