Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Y Erabot written to the Union Consumer Affairs Minister Sharad Pawar requesting to provide all the required petroleum products in Manipur.
Talking to The Sangai Express, Y Erabot, who is currently in New Delhi, informed that he was scheduled to meet the Union Minister today.
But it could not take place as the Union Minister has gone to Mumbai for some urgent matter.
So, written note had been left at his office.
Furthermore, Minister Erabot informed that he also brought up the matter related to allowing not more than one/two load of Kerosene for Manipur to the knowledge of Regional Manager of IOC.
Erabot has also inspected the construction made being at Panthoibi Emporium as well as the preparation being made for Manipur to participate in the India International Trade Fair to be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi starting from Nov 14.On the other hand, in all 58 oil tankers, 20 bullet tankers and 39 trucks laden with rice of FCI arrived Imphal today.
The trucks have been escorted by CRPF from Khatkhati.
Another 39 empty oil tankers, 8 bullet tankers and 26 trucks of FCI have also been escorted from Imphal today for lifting essential commodities.
Meanwhile, a meeting presided over by Chief Secretary has discussed the issues related to shortage of fuel with IOC and CAFPD officials.
