Imphal, August 20:
Discontentment and resentment is brewing among the Ministers of the SPF following the delay in the distribution of portfolios to the Ministers by the Chief Minister after the recent downsizing of the Council of Ministers.
Talking to The Sangai Express today, several Ministers of the SPF Govt, while flaying the Chief Minister for the unnecessary delay in distributing the portfolios said that concentration of all the portfolios with the Chief Minister is causing a lot of problems in the development works taken up by various departments under the State Govt.Mention may be made here that 21 Ministers were axed out of the total of 32 Council of Ministers during the recent downsizing exercise.
The Ministers also said that the Chief Minister would be making a grave mistake if he tries to blame the ongoing agitation for the delay in the distribution of portfolios among the Ministers and added that the current agitation is not in any way connected with the distribution of portfolios.
