Opposition members of the All Political Party Forum members in a meeting held at the Federal Party MLA Tomba's quarters at Babupura today have strongly condemned the State Govt's crackdown on leaders of various Organizations spearheading the current agitation and subsequent booking of the arrested leaders under the National Security Act (NSA).
The meeting was presided by the Forum's convenor Dr L Chandramani.
Speaking to The Sangai Express after the meeting, Opposition leader O Joy informed that the meeting mainly focused on the future course of action needed to be taken up to pressurize the Government for removing the dreaded Armed Forces Special Powers Act from the State and added that minute details about the course of action would be made known to the public through the media on Sunday.
He also stated that all the Opposition members are also ready to be booked under the NSA if the State Government decides to crackdown on them while agitating for the removal of AFSPA from the State and added that Opposition members will carry on the agitation until and unless the Act is completely revoked off from the State.
