75th Independence Day celebrated all over the State

Joining with the rest of the country, Manipur on Sunday celebrated its 75th Independence Day on August 15, 2021, with the usual pride to mark its freedom from British rule.
BISHNUPUR
As celebrated all over the country, the District Administration of Bishnupur on Sunday celebrated India's 75th Independence Day at New Mini Secretariat Complex in Bishnupur.
Deputy Commissioner, Krishna Kumar unfurled the National flag and took salute from the two lone contingents of this year's celebration.
Due to COVID pandemic, Bishnupur Civil Police and VDF Band Party participated in the parade commanded by Sub Inspector Thokchom Chingthangkhomba Singh.
Commendations and appreciation certificates were given to several Government Employees, Covid Frontline Workers, Task Forces and Social Workers for rendering outstanding services in the last one year.
Notably, Top 2 girl students securing the highest marks in BOSEM and Top 3 girl students in COHSEM Exams 2020-21 from the district were also felicitated with meritorious awards on this auspicious occasion.
Three Pradhans achieving the highest Child Sex Ratios were also presented with appreciation certificates.
Dignitaries like SP Bishnupur, Sapam Hopson; ADM Bishnupur, Bobby Sharma; Bishnupur SDO, Mamoni Doley; DLOs, CSO leaders, officials of the district among others warmly graced the ceremony.
CHANDEL
The District Administration Chandel also celebrated the 75th Independence Day at the district headquarter, DC complex yesterday.
The celebration started with the inspection of the guard of honour and hosting of the Tri- colour along with the National anthem by the Deputy Commissioner Chandel, Mayanglambam Rajkumar.
Superintendent of Police Chandel, L Deben Singh; CO 8MR, Somendro singh; CO 18 Assam Rifles, Ajit Khetri along with all the DLOs and other officials of the district also took part in the programme.
CHURACHANDPUR
75th Independence Day was also celebrated by strictly adhering to SOPs at Tuibong Peace Ground, Churachandpur.
Deputy Commissioner of Churachandpur, PawanYadav hoisted the National Tricolour and took salute of the marching contingents from 4 Parade Contingents commanded by David Kilong, MPS, SDPO Thanlon.
The contingents consisted of Ex-Servieemen, Civil Police (Male & Female), ADC Staff.
Presentation of awards to outstanding social/NGO workers, Government employees and march past contingents marked the occasion.
Significantly, the chief of Sumchinvum village was presented a citation in recognition and token appreciation of the village achieving cent percent vaccination of eligible villagers.
Dignitaries attending the event included SP Churachandpur, Shivanand Surve; CO 1st IRB, Lunkhomang Khongsai; Esther Laltankim Serto, DFO Churachandpur; DLOs and CSOs.
A Covid vaccination booth was also opened by the sideline of the celebration.
KANGPOKPI
District Administration Kangpokpi also celebrated 75th Independence Day yesterday at DC Office Complex, Kangpokpi following strict COVID-19 protocol.
DC Kangpokpi, Somorjit Salam hoisted the Indian Tricolor and took salut from the parade contingent.
Later, a tree plantation drive led by Somorjit Salam was also conducted at the Brig, Thomas Ground, Kangpokpi.
NONEY
District Administration Noney also celebrated the 75th Independence Day at DC Office Complex, Noney DHQs yesterday.
Deputy Commissioner Noney, Roberst Singh Kshetrimayum took part in the programme as the chief guest and hoisted the National Flag.
Besides, a tree plantation drive was also organised by Noney Forest Division in the DC Office Campus.
The programme was attended by DLOs, BLOs, school Principal/Headmasters and other prominent officials of Noney district.
SENAPATI
District Administration Senapati also celebrated the 75th Independence Day at the DC office complex.
It was held in the presence of all District Level Officers, Police and personnel from 4th IRB.
During the programme, Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, DC Senapati distributed commendation certificates to selected district officials and Police personnel for their commendable services.
Meanwhile, the Senapati District Bar Association (SDBA) hoisted the tricolour flag at the District and Sessions Court campus.
The Tricolor was unfurled by Koshia Mao, APP.
TENGNOUPAL
District Administration Tengnoupal also celebrated the 75th Independence Day at Tengnoupal Government High School ground.
DC Tengnoupal, Naorem Praveen took part in the programme as the chief guest and hoisted the national flag.
It was also attended by Th Vikramjit, SP Tengnoupal; J Narayanan, CO 20 Assam Rifles; Mahamuda Begum, Deputy Conservator of Forest Tengnoupal Forest Division; SDO Tengnoupal and other prominent officials of the district.
Besides, Additional Deputy Commissioner Moreh also celebrated Independence Day at ADC Office Complex.
During the programme, ADC Moreh, K Jadumani hoisted the national flag.
It was also attended by SDO, Irengbam Dinesh Kumar; Moreh ASP (LO), Sangboi Gangte; OC, Dilip Kumar and other officials.
THOUBAL
The 75th Independence Day was also celebrated on Sunday at Mini Secretariat Complex, Thoubal with minimum participation in view of the ongoing Covid- 19 situation.
Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, Rangnamei Rang Peter hoisted the National Flag and took the Rashtriya Salute of a police contingent led by Parade Commander, Ashangbam Khelendra Singh, MPS, Dy SP (Ops), Thoubal.
Later, the DC also presented the Certificate of Appreciation Award to about 140 people from different departments for their dedication and commitment in the fight against Covid pandemic.
ADM, AC to DC, Additional SP, DSP, DLOs and staff of DC office, Thoubal were present on the occasion.
UKHRUL
Ukhrul District Administration also celebrated the 75th Independence Day with Joseph Pauline Kamson, Deputy Commissioner as the Chief Guest at Mini-Secretariat Complex, Ukhrul on Sunday in the presence of DLOs, CSOs leaders and public.
Ringthing Hongchui, Additional SP (OPS), Ukhrul took part in the function as the parade commander.
Manipur Police, 6th Battalion Manipur Refiles and Ex-Servicemen were also present as march pass contingents.
During the programme, 87 Award Certificates to employees of various departments were handed out for their relentless services.
ZEO Department won the best gate display out of nine departmental gate constructions.
A patriotic song was also presented by the school of Kendiya Vidyalaya, Ukhrul.
Blankets were also given out to few village headmen during the function.
