Heirok MLA not keeping his words, alleges Covid victim's son

With reference to the declaration by Heirok MLA Th Radheshyam to provide monetary assistance of Rs 60,000 each to Covid-19 victim families in Heirok, one Shrimayum Bijitra Sharma has alleged that the monetary aid is given only to families associated with BJP.
Speaking to media persons at Heirok Part-1 residence, Bijitra said that his parents Ibopishak and Damenti contracted Covid-19 on July 18 and his father underwent treatment at Shija hospitals, which he was shifted from Thoubal District hospital.
His mother was admitted to MSF Covid hospital but succumbed to the infectious disease on July 28, Bijitra said.
Recalling that the Heirok MLA declared through the media of extending monetary aid to Covid-19 victims of his constituency, Bijitra said that oh August 7 he submitted requisite documents of his deceased mother to the MLA so as to avail the financial aid and address some of financial problems in the treatment of his father.
Later, the documents were returned on August 13 stating that it is not recommended and further assured of recommending and extending the financial aid of Rs 50,000 if he (Bijitra) has the same ideology with the MLA, Bijitra contended.
Decrying the discrimination in providing financial aid to Covid victim families even though the MLA went public to mitigate some of the financial distress faced by families of all Covid victims in his.
AC, Bijitra urged the MLA to treat all his people equally and suggested that the MLA provide the monetary aid to Covid-19 victim families without any discrimination.
