CSOs, AMSU mourn demise of N Bimol

While deeply condoling the sudden demise of MAPI Council president N Bimol due to COVID-19, different CSOs of the state termed his death as a great loss for Manipur.
A joint condolence note of People's Action for National Democratic Movement (PANDM), International Peace & Social Advancement (IPSA), All Club, Organisation and Meirapaibi.
Lup (ACOAM Lup), Indigenous Peoples Association Kangleipak (IPAK), Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA), Kanglei Apunba Meira Lup (KANGLA MEI), Chanura Lamchinglen Kangleipak (CLK) and Kanglei I ma Lup (KIL) recounted that Bimol was a leader who shouldered responsibility for many civil society organisations of the state.
According to the joint condolence note, Bimol was coordinator of Working Committee of the Apunba Lup which demanded revocation of AFSPA-1958 andconvener of Protection and Preservation Committee of Manipur (PPCM) apart from shouldering immense responsibility in the movement launched by JCILPS as well as for the Ma nipur integrity movement.
Bimol's demise is a great loss for CSOs of Manipur, it said, adding that functionaries of the organisations organised a condolence meet at Langol Meetei Leikai and observed two minutes' silence in memory of the departed soul.
On the other hand, AMSU also deeply condoled the untimely demise of Bimol and .said that the late MAPI Council president worked tirelessly to bring peace and unity between hills and valley dwellers.
