Imphal, November 10 2021: Intending candidate of BJP from Wangoi assembly constituency Yumnam Nilamani launched his election campaign on Wednesday.

Speaking during the campaign held at four polling stations ofThiyam Leishangkhong, Y Nilamani lamented that'Wangoi AC continues to lag behind in development with inadequate water supply, bad drainage system, bad roads, etc.

There are many in the AC who had dismantled their houses to construct new houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), but after the first instalment of Rs 60,000, no further funds have been released leaving them without proper roof over their head.

On the other hand, there are several people who are unemployed due to Covid-19 pandemic in the constituency.

All these need to be addressed, he noted.

Y Nilamani further said that he is contesting the election with the agenda of 'Development for all with transparency' and urged the people to support him.
