AR motorcycle rally reaches Manipur

Imphal, November 10 2021:
The Assam Rifles motorcycle rally being organised in collaboration with JAWA Motorcycles to commemorate 75th anniversary of India's Independence passed through Manipur, today.
The rally team of 24 riders started from Silchar on November 7 and reached Singhat in Churachandpur yesterday.
The rally will cover all seven States of North East and will pass through all the State Capitals, said a statement of IGAR (S) .
The purpose of the rally is to spread awareness among the locals about the efforts taken by Assam Rifles to curb insurgency in North East, support the development in remote areas and also to remember the sacrifices of the brave soldiers in the line of duty, it added.
The Motorcycle Rally was joined by Major General Alok Naresh the Inspector General Assam Rifles on its journey through Manipur on November 10 .

The rally traversed through INA Museum at Moirang, Bishnupur before reaching the historic Kangla Fort in Imphal.
The statement also stated that the bikers were welcomed with vigour and enthusiasm by the locals at various places.
Major General Alok Naresh and Brig Ashish Ranjan, VSM, DIG Assam Rifles, also interacted with the locals at a medical camp organised by the Assam Rifles at Ningthoukhong and N Khunou villages.
The Bike Rally led by Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) was received at Kangla Fort by the Manipur female polo team members and the Imphal NCC cadets.
After a brief interaction with the polo team and the NCC cadets, the bike rally was flagged off from Kangla Fort to Jwalamukhi by the General Officer.
