CCI extends financial aid to families of 3 Covid victims

The Centre for Community Initiative (CCI) has today extended financial assistance of Rs 30,000 to three families who lost their breadwinner to Covid-19 during the second wave of the pandemic, with funds provided by GiveIndia's Covid Response Fund 2.0.CCI Executive Director, Pauzagin Tonsing said, as GiveIndia launched its Covid Relief, India Covid Response Fund (ICRF) 2.0 to extend a one-time financial assistance to underprivileged families who are facing difficulties due to sudden demise of their breadwinner for the family, CCI has been calling out for application/registration and collecting details of beneficiaries.
A total of 8 applicants have registered through the CCI till date.
Of these, the first three applicants have received the relief fund today through their bank accounts.
A sum of Rs 30,000 each was credited to the families of Ninghoih w/o Pauminlian Tangpua from Pearsonmun; Esther w/o Vanlalchawna of New Bazar and Niangzahoih w/o Thonkhanthang of Singngat by the CCI today, as GiveIndia has transferred the relief funds to the CCI account after granting their approval.
The CCI has till date extended numerous Covid relief packages to the underprivileged and differently abled families.
It is currently delivering 2,500 dry ration kits which were donated by Crypto Relief and Umeed Project.
