AMCTA hails higher education department

Imphal, February 22 2022: All Manipur College Teachers' Association (AMCTA) has expressed gratitude to authorities of the administrative department of Higher Education for considering the appeal of AMCTA by sending clarifications on the queries made by accountant general (AG), Manipur in the larger interest of college teachers.

In a statement, AMCTA said that this will clear all the confusions and doubts felt by the AG, Manipur as well as the college teachers regarding the revision orders of 7th UGC Pay.

It will also resolve the problems faced by the retired college teachers in submission of applications for commutation of pension and other claims related to pension, which is to be submitted within February 28 .

In this connection, an urgent meeting of AMCTA Secretariat held on Tuesday extended appreciation to all concerned.

The meeting also condoled the untimely demise of retired HoD of Botany, Imphal College Nongmeikapam Nabachandra, who passed away on February 18.The members present observed a two-minute silence in honour of the departed soul and prayed for his soul to rest in peace in its heavenly abode.

AMCTA also shared the sorrow and grief of the bereaved family, the statement added.
