CRPF, AR conduct tree plantation drive

Imphal, June 17 2021:
As part of its continuing efforts to make the earth green and clean, 69 Bn CRPF organised a plantation drive on Thursday at its Mantripukhri HQs spearheaded by Commandant Bajrang Lal.
Unit officers and PI Trainees planted about 100 saplings in and around the campus during the campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant highlighted the importance of organising such plantation drives and exhorted all men to contribute to this noble cause of making this world a better place and to make a habit of planting trees in a continuous manner in all necessary places.
On the other hand, Assam Rifles under the aegis of IG-AR(S) organised a tree plantation drive in Imphal East and Chandel districts on Thursday towards promoting the 'Go Green Initiative'.
In a release, PRO IGAR(S) sated that the tree plantation drive was conducted with an aim to control the global warming, make environment pollution free and spread awareness on importance of clean environment.
As part of initiative, saplings were planted by the Assam Rifles troops who were also educated about the importance of trees in maintaining the ecological equilibrium.
