Imphal, October 17 2012:
Assam Rifles authorities claiming arrest of one Maibam Joychandra alias Ronelson s/o M Gopal by 27 AR troops on October 16 from Hiyanglam area is yet another testimony that the para-military force is employing rogue elements to carry out anti-social activities, alleged the proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) .
Reacting to a news report in State dailies today based on the press release issued by PRO IGAR (S) yesterday, an RPF statement issued by its Publicity Secretary T Leisemba pointed out that Maibam Joychandra was mentioned as one of the surrenderees of the September 6, 2010 'home coming' ceremony held at the Mantripukhri headquarters of IGAR (South) .
The fact that one of the surrenderees (Joychandra) was 're-arrested' along with arms compels one to wonder how such an element was allowed to mingle among the general public, posed the RPF secretary while asserting that the nefarious agenda of Assam Rifles has been exposed due to apparent mis-communication between the 27 AR and IGAR (S) .

Asserting that Ronelson's case is a clear indication of IGAR (S) utilising rogue elements to further the hidden agenda of Indian security forces at the behest of the Government of India, RPF also reminded that parents assuming IGAR (S) as the safest haven for their wards is not only a misconception but would also bring them more misfortunes in the near future.
Asking the parents of surrendered cadres to introspect whether their wards are in safe hands at IGAR (S), Leisemba suggested that if there is any suspicion approaching relevant authorities to confirm status of their sons would be the best option before it is too late.
Claiming that RPF and its armed wing PLA are already aware that surrendered militants are being misused by IGAR (S) and other Indian security forces to tarnish image of the ongoing insurgency movement, the publicity secretary also opined that when the Government realises and initiates sincere measures to rehabilitate surrendered cadres there is possibility that UGs who laid down arms would no more be alive.
Referring to a particular case of discovering many acid-scalped skeletal remains of human beings buried underground at a site in north India some times back, the same fate befalling on surrendered UGs here in Manipur cannot be ruled out, he cautioned.
while mass burial of human being is normally associated with conflict affected countries of west Asian upto now, discovery of similar human remains at the foothills of Manipur is a possibility in case pro-active measures are not undertaken to further expose the unfair warfare pursued by security forces, added Leisemba.Surrender drama exposed, alleges RPF.
