Centenary stone unveiled

A memory stone erected to commemorate P Muolding village's 100 years of existence was unveiled today by IFC Minister Ngamthang Haokip.
P Muolding village is located within Saitu Assembly Constituency, Sadar Hills.
The IFC Minister also unveiled another memorial stone which marked the golden jubilee of Mongpijang village apart from inaugurating a newly constructed church.
Speaking at the unveiling function of the centenary and golden jubilee memorial stones, Ngamthang Haokip appealed to all the people to uphold and promote the spirit of peaceful co-existence among all communities of Manipur.

Claiming that different development works are being taken up in Saitu AC on priority basis, Ngamthang said he is eager for people's cooperation so that different development programmes can be implemented in wholesome and satisfactory manner.
He announced that Rs 50 lakh would be sanctioned from his Local Area Development Fund for construction of a new church building and a playground in P Muolding village.
Later, the Minister felicitated chiefs of different villages located around Leimakhong by presenting them red blankets.
Sadar Hills ADC Chairman Haokholal Hangshing was also present at the function.
