CYLC tennis concludes today
Rahul wrested the under-10 boys title of the CYLC State Open Tennis championship with a 4-1 4-2 win over Gourav at the CYLC tennis court, Chingamathak today.
Charmie was crowned the U-10 girls champion and Bidyarani secured the runner-up spot.
In under-12 boys semifinals also played today, Luching beat Charles 8-0 and Rahul overcame Rajiv 8-6.The men's singles and doubles finals will be played tomorrow.
State crowned sepaktakraw champ
Host Manipur clinched both the girls and boys team titles in sepaktakraw competition of the 59th National School Games at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium today.
While the girls outclassed Nagaland 15-6, 15-2, 15-4 the State boys emerged 15-5, 15-5, 15-6 victors against Delhi.
The closing ceremony will be held tomorrow.
Netball teams for Jr nationals
Manipur Netball Association has selected 14 players (two reserves) and 2 officials to represent the State in the 26th Junior National Netball Championship (B&G) to be held from January 7, 2014 at Gujarat.
The selected players are informed to report for further coaching at 7.30 am at KLSC pratice ground.

Ibeton Kangkhut clinched the title of 24th Dhanamanjuri Women Open kang tournament defeating Nikon Kangkhut 9-4 today at Lainingthou Kangshang, Thangmeiband.
JNV trio for School Games meet
Th Sagar Singh, Glory Koireng and Th Jogendrajit Singh of JNV, Khumbong will represent Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti in the School Games badminton and table tennis events to be held respectively from January 5 in Chandigarh and Jan 1 at Aurangabad (Maharashtra), informed JNV, Khumbong.
NACO team felicitated
A felicitation programme of Nambul Mapal Athletic and Cultural Organisation, winner of 18th M Chittamani Singh Memorial Winner Cup was organised at NACO ground, Langthabal today.
Track suits and football boots were distributed to the NACO players during the programme, informed NACO.
