Imphal, August 24 2013 :
Even if Manipur Police thought it as one of their proud achieve-ments when they apprehended the PREPAK (Pro) activist in-volved in the bomb blasts at the gate of the Chief Minister's bungalow and inside Route 39 Restaurant, it only exposed the weakness and inefficiency of Manipur Police in the outfit's view.
While the people raised one uproar after another to nab drug smugglers, murderers and criminals, police could not book a single criminal.
Rather they appeared to be condoning the criminals, the outfit alleged in a press release issued by its assistant publicity and propaganda secretary Sunil M .
But when PREPAK (Pro) attacked State Government offices and officers, the State force could pull up suspects within a very short period.
Manipur Police put in all its resources and wits when the outfit attacked VIPs and political leaders.
Had Manipur Police succeeded arresting in drug smu- gglers and other criminals, they would have certainly received public acknowledge- ment and accolades.
Rather than pulling up drug smugglers and their gangs, the State Government and the State force encouraged the criminals and joined in their clandestine operations, it alleged.
the recent activities of PREPAK (Pro) were aimed at saving the fast degenerating Manipuri society.
It was also to prove that the security arrangement around Babupara has many lapses and the outfit can attack the area any time though it is guarded by State force round the clock.
It sounds rather absurd that the State Government is planning to export power to Myanmar when it cannot ensure power supply for the CCTV cameras in front of its offices.
The State Government as well as the State force should understand that there are many volunteers who can act at any time in the interest of the nation and are determined to save the society from the lewd and immoral activities done in hotels and restaurants, and also from the menace of drugs, the outfit added.
