CM opens Haj orientation programme

Chief Minister today inaugurated a four-day orientation program-me for Haj pilgrims at Madrassa Alia (Markaz-e-Tabligh), Lilong Bazar today.
Being organised by Manipur State Haj Committee, the programme will impart training to the pilgrims who will visit Haj (Saudi Arabia) this year.
Speaking at the occasion as chief guest, O Ibobi urged the pilgrims to pray for peace and tranquillity of Manipur.
Saying that the present Government has been taking up various welfare schemes for minority people, Ibobi appealed to the people of Manipur to live together harmoniously.
He also said that 80 percent of the development fund of the State is being used in the development of infrastructure in hill areas to bring equal development.
Ibobi also urged to put in mind together to resolve the differences by forgetting the past.

Regarding the standoff at Mantripukhri, Ibobi clarified that survey of land does not mean that the Government would acquire land at Mantripukhri for the construction of RBI branch.
MOBC and Science & Technology Parliamentary Secretary and Manipur State Haj Committee Chairperson Md Amin Shah, Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Md Abdul Nasir, Wabagai AC MLA and Wakf Board Chairman Md Fajur Rahim and Madrassa Alia Sadre Mudarris Moulana S Nooruddin attended the function as president and guests of honour respectively.
