Ultra Small Branch of PNB opens

With an aim to provide banking facilities to every family in rural areas, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has opened up five Ultra Small Branches in Keirao A/C under Imphal East district today.
The five Ultra Small Branches under PNB have been opened at Keirao Bitra Khunnou, Langdum, Urup, Keirao Makting (Pangal) and Kyamgei Pangal.
The five branches are to be operated through Business correspondents of the bank.
Laishram Indrakumar will take charge of Keirao Bitra Khunnou; L Dinesh of Langdum; Ngangbam Amukhomba of Urup; M Irabanta of Makting and M Tombi of the Kyamgei Pangal branch.
Speaking to media persons in connection with the opening of five Ultra Small Branches in Keirao A/C, M Subash, Manager of PNB, Irilbung Branch stated that the Ultra Small Branches of PNB will provide all banking facilities to people in rural areas.
The Ultra Small Branches primarily focus on those people who cannot open accounts in big banks and those who have opened their accounts but face problems in trying to access the banking facilities.
Through opening of accounts in these Ultra Small Branches, the problems of these people will be solved.
He further informed that those individuals opening bank accounts in the Ultra Small Branches can withdraw and deposit money at any point of time at their own conveniences and there is no specific time for transactions.
Moreover, farmers can avail KCC loan facilities through these Ultra Small Branches apart from transacting the wages of MGNREGS and Old Age Pensions.
