Imphal, March 30 2023: Nursing is a prestigious profession and those in the profession should uphold the quality and dignity associated with it, said Saikul MLA Kimneo Hangshing.

She was attending as chief guest of the felicitation of 4th batch GNM students and lamp lighting, capping & pledge ceremony of 7th batch of GNM students of Dr Anjuli Nayak Nursing School, Kabo Leikai held at Kuki Christian Church, Kabo Leikai on Wednesday.

Gynaecologist Dr Neiting and Manipur Nursing Council registrar Dr Aribam Jamuna attended the event as president and guest of honour respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Kimneo pointed out that those in medical profession are life savers and role of nurses in the treatment of patients is immense.

They should uphold the quality and dignity of the profession by taking good care of patients for their early recovery, she said.
