State logs four fresh Covid-19 cases

Imphal, April 09 2023: The state on Sunday reported four new cases of Covid-19 out of 27 samples tested while two patients recovered, thus talcing the number of active cases to 10.The positivity rate recorded on Sunday was 14.8 per cent, which is above the safe limit of 5 per cent.

Out of the four new cases, three are CRPF personnel of 109 Battalion while the remaining one is a 71-year old female resident of Khurai, Imphal East.

She had received two doses of Covid-19 vaccine and is now admitted in a hospital.

Meanwhile, no vaccine dose was administered on Wednesday and the number of vaccinated people stands at 16,49,470, out of which 13,31,219 have received the second dose and 2,80,416 taken precautionary doses.

A statement from Covid-19 common control room has advised the public to use face mask, wash hands regularly, avoid crowd and get vaccinated to stay safefrom the contagion.
