In his speech, Nando Luwang observed that there are many people in the state with sight problems, who are unable to get their eyes treated due to numerous reasons.
Those in politics also failed to provide any opportunities to their constituents to get their eyes treated.
Thus, he urged those in active politics to help their constituents in this regard, while further urging for the government to be also enthusiastic of the matter.
Stating that assisting the visually impaired or those with eye sight problems is like shining a ray of s unshine onto their lives; he stressed the need for doctors and medical staff to visit rural and remote areas, thereby increasing the humanism level amongst the doctors.
He then appreciated all those who had extended their support to the camp which began since April 2 .
In all, 60 people were treated during the camp, with 30 people provided with free spectacles.
