Imphal, September 15 2012:
Strongly denouncing the declaration of M Com final exam results, 2012 twice by the Commerce department of Manipur University, AMSU and KSO have today stated that the former results declared by the authority should be validated.
Addressing a press meet at AMSU headquarters today, information and publicity secretary of KSO (General headquarters) Kakai said it is very unfortunate that the results of M Com fourth semester examination was declared twice by the MU authority.
He said that the result of the same examination was declared on September 7 and September 11 .
Kakai asserted that in the first instance of the results' declaration, Roll No 1016012 of the dept, Sh Timothy was placed at the top and was entitled to bag the Attar Kaur Setia Memorial Gold Medal.
However, the second instance of the declaration mentioned Roll No 1016005, Kh Vijayata Devi and Roll No 1016016, Thangjam Gojen Singh as winners of gold medal in the M Com 4th semester exam 2012 of MU while Sh Timothy was placed in the second position.
He added that a candidate who was placed within the top-ten in the September 7 declaration was missing from the top ten lists in the results that were declared on September 11 .
Stating that tampering of marks by the MU authority is highly suspicious since long time back, Kakai categorically asked how a topper could be placed in the second position and candidates not even figured in the top-ten in the first list could become toppers in the second lists.
Demanding that the authority should validate the results declared on September 7, the students' leader warned that the students' bodies would protest the MU convocation to be held on September 17 if the demand is
not materialised.
