JCC demands ROP to work-charge employees

Urging the Chief Minister to implement the 6th Pay Commission Recommendation (ROP) to work-charge establishment staff of the five Engineering departments, the Joint Coordinating Committee of five engineering departments�PWD, PHED, Power, IFCD and Minor Irrigation, has threatened to launch stir if their demand is not met immediately.
The Joint Coordinating Committee of Engineering Departments, Manipur was formed on September 10 during a joint meeting of the employees of all engineering departments' associations in the office chamber of PHED Workers and Employees' Organisation.
A memorandum submitted to the CM by the JCC today highlighted the grievances of the work charge employees of the engineering departments specially the PWD and IFCD, who did not get salaries for 17 months.
Pointing out that the employees are legible to enjoy the ROP, the JCC memorandum urged the CM to pass an appropriate order to facilitate the release of fund and end of natural justice.
It further urged that the work-charged employees of the five engineering departments be considered the ROP in conformity with their nature of works as per regular establishment.
