Imphal, June 17 2014:
RIMS Nurses' Association Lamphelpat (RNAL) has suspended their cease work strike after the nurses and RIMS authority came to an understanding at a meeting held today.
As agreed at the meeting, the order which promoted Ksh Binokumari to the post of Assistant Nursing Superintendent would be kept in abeyance for sometime.
Holding an open discussion on the woes and grievances of nurses against RIMS authority in the presence of Health Ministry officials was another point agreed to by the two sides.
The two sides also arrived at an understanding to initiate due procedures for revoking the suspension orders of the seven nurses who were suspended for spearheading the cease work strike.
RNAL secretary Kh Mina said that the promotion order of Ksh Binokumari should be kept invalidated until the case filed against the dubious promotion is disposed by Court on merit.
Information received from RIMS administration said that necessary processes have been initiated so that nurses can air their woes and grievances, and for RIMS authority to give their points of view and clarifications in the presence of Health Ministry officials.
